UrbanBiker is an on-line retail store specialising in safe, stylish and high-quality clothing and accessory brands for road bike and scooter riders - based in New Zealand.
The business is built on the understanding that every biker has different needs. Managing Director, Mike Davidson says “Some riders like to saddle up for a lengthy road trip, while others are happy just getting to their local café and enjoying a catch up with friends. Whatever the rider needs we have them covered (head-to-toe)”.
UrbanBiker plans to offer a better selection of gear specifically designed for women riders who are traditionally not well catered for in New Zealand. We are working closely with local distributors to improve the choice of modern, fun and safe gear for women to enrich their all-round riding experience.
Davidson says, “We are passionate riders and believers in local supply (‘by kiwis for kiwis’) and source our products from the authorised New Zealand distributors of global brands.” Dealing with a kiwi business means the customer doesn’t have to worry about what to do if their beloved purchase doesn’t quite fit. UrbanBiker operates a 21-day return policy and, providing the item is still in new condition, will replace it with the correct size (free of charge).
Store promotions are targeted exclusively on-line and through social media channels (Web, Instagram and Facebook). Davidson says “Not all bikers have the time or inclination to venture out to purchase gear. Staying ‘plugged in’ and buying on-line can be a fun experience” especially when the website is easy to use and delivery is free.
How did UrbanBiker start? The idea came from talking to friends, family and colleagues and thinking about our own good and not so good experiences purchasing online. Together with a love for motorcycling and a wish to apply our experiences to a family business – UrbanBiker was born.
UrbanBiker has now opened its ‘virtual doors’ for business. We are proud retailers of market leading global brands. Each brand offers an extensive product range which complement each other offering customers great selection and choice – whatever their needs.
